Welcome to Born to Fly
Born to Fly has always been more than a studio — it’s a space for creativity, reflection, and connection.
The name comes from a line in a Rumi poem — a quiet reminder that we weren’t meant to stay small, but to remember we were born to soar.
As I build this new space, I’m bringing with me everything that made the first one so special: the warmth, the stories, the joy of creating side by side. It holds pieces of my past while making room for what’s next.
What truly makes Born to Fly special is the chance to share the journey. Over the years I’ve taught incredible students formed lasting friendships and worked with autistic children and young adults. This studio has become a place where art is more than just self-expression - it becomes a shared experience.
Soon, I’ll be offering personal art sessions — quiet, intentional time to explore creativity in a small and supportive setting.
I feel incredibly grateful for the joy and connection that art brings to everyone who steps into this space. Every person leaves something behind — a little more love, a little more life — and that’s what makes it sacred to me.
A Note from My Heart
Art found me when I didn’t even know I was looking for it — and it’s changed my life in ways I’m still uncovering. It became a lifeline. A refuse. A way to process what felt too big for words and to remember who I am. As I shape this new studio space, I carry with me the spirit that has always made it feel like home: the freedom to create without judgement, the deep connections formed when we share what’s real, and the quiet healing that happens when we make something with our hands and hearts.
It’s an honor to share this space with others — to invite you into the process, the energy, and the joy of creativity. Whether you’re here to reflect, to explore, or simply to enjoy the work, I hope something here speaks with you.
To my family and friends, and all who have stood by me - thank you for believing in me especially when I didn’t fully believe in myself. Your presence has shaped this journey in ways that will never leave me.
Every person who enters this world adds something sacred to it. Thank you for being a part if it
With love,
Michelle
