Welcome to Born to Fly
Born to Fly has always been more than a studio — it’s a space for creativity, reflection, and connection.
The name comes from a line in a Rumi poem — a quiet reminder that we weren’t meant to stay small, but to remember we were born to soar.
As I build this new space, I’m bringing with me everything that made the first one so special: the warmth, the stories, the joy of creating side by side. It holds pieces of my past while making room for what’s next.
What truly makes Born to Fly special is the opportunity to share the journey. From teaching incredible students and making new friends to working with autistic children and young adults — this studio has become a place where art becomes a shared experience.
Soon, I’ll be offering personal art sessions — quiet, meaningful time to explore creativity in a small and supportive setting.
It fills me with gratitude to witness the joy and connection that art brings to everyone who steps into this space. Every visitor adds something to it — a little more love, a little more life — and makes it even more sacred to me.
A Note from My Heart
Art found me when I needed it most — and it’s changed my life in ways I’m still discovering. It’s been a refuge, an outlet, and a way back to myself. As I build this new studio space, I carry with me the spirit that’s always made it feel like home: the freedom to create, the connections formed through shared expression, and the peace that comes with making something real.
It’s an honor to share this space with others — to invite you into the process, the energy, and the joy of creativity. Whether you’re here to reflect, to explore, or simply to enjoy the work, I hope something here resonates with you.
I’m endlessly grateful to my family, friends, and supporters — the ones who have stood beside me, believed in me, and encouraged this path. Everyone who steps into this world adds to it. Thank you for being here.
With love,
Michelle
